Introduction

Mr. Muhammad Siddique is an education management professional with over 30 years of experience. Throughout his career, he has held key roles in admissions, examinations, student affairs, and administration at several prominent higher education institutions in Pakistan. Currently, he serves as Registrar at Saifee Burhani University, where he is actively involved in establishing and managing the newly founded institution, drawing on his extensive background in university administration.

Before this role, Mr. Siddique held leadership positions at various universities. He served as Registrar at Metropolitan University and as Project Director at BIEMST, where he managed academic and administrative functions while preparing feasibility reports for a new degree-awarding institution in Hub, Balochistan. At Malir University of Science and Technology, he was initially appointed Director of Administration, Admissions, and Examinations before being promoted to University Registrar.

His experience also includes time at Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) in Karachi, where he was Director of Programs and Logistics at the Institute of Health Management (IHM). He developed the Health Policy Management Program at the School of Public Health and served as Program Director. As a member of the Board of Studies (BOS), he chaired several subcommittees and contributed to self-assessment reports (SAR) for Quality Enhancement Cells (QEC). He also played a role in the 2nd Deans and Directors International Conference organized by NBEAC-HEC in 2015.

Mr. Siddique spent nearly a decade at Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST), where he served as Academic and Examinations Controller. He oversaw academic activities across SZABIST’s four campuses—Karachi, Islamabad, Larkana, and Dubai—ensuring quality services for both students and faculty.

He was also instrumental in establishing Newport University’s Karachi Campus, an affiliate of Newport University in the USA. As a founding team member, he set up key departments like Student Affairs, Admissions, Library, and the Semester Cell, ensuring smooth operations from the start.

At Ghazi Foundation College (GFC), Mr. Siddique initiated four degree programs in affiliation with the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science, and Technology. His leadership helped expand the academic offerings at the college. He also served as Principal Secretary to the Medical Director at Liaquat National Hospital, where he played a key role in establishing the Medical College, making it operational within set deadlines. As a consultant with KITE, he helped the institution obtain its charter from the Government of Sindh.

Additionally, Mr. Siddique worked at the Command and Staff College in Quetta, where he managed the Reproduction Cell and collaborated with senior military officers, including the college commandant, a serving Lieutenant General.

He holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Sindh and a Master’s in Education (M.Ed.) from Hamdard University Karachi. He is currently pursuing a research degree at a prominent university in Pakistan. With his decades of experience in academic administration and leadership, Muhammad Siddique continues to be a respected figure in education management, contributing to the development of higher education in Pakistan.
